thoughts

the weight of next year has been coming over closer since the beginning of this semester, when my teacher started talking to me about it. yes, i know that next year i have to put on my own show, thank you very much. geez.

now that it's the summer before my senior year, i really need to start thinking. what will i talk about? what will i make? what techniques will i use? will it be an installation, a series of wall pieces, both?

i know that i will be exploring, in some way and from some angle, environmental issues. which really shouldn't be called just that. it's not just the environment, it's population, it's economics, it's social, it's everything in the world. everything is affected and everything affects.

anyway, i will be thinking about that. heck, i always seem to be. right now, barbara kingsolver is so inspirational for me. she seems to be taking a lot of the ideas and things i know to be true and even new things and putting all of this and more onto paper.

i'm starting to have ideas. i don't think it will just be guerilla gardening. maybe not just gardening. i'm not sure, we'll see.

but, i'm thinking.

Good luck with the thinking. I'm slowly drawing closer to my senior year and if I go forward with the photo major, I'm going to have to start thinking about these things, too. I adore Barbara Kingsolver.

Thank you Theresa, I'm glad you like the header :) I'm pretty excited about it!

Amelia - Hi! Thinking about things like this is all you do in art school... At least at CCS! Good luck with the possible photo major! It's what I started out in :)
