I still really like it - it's clever and unusual and the graphics are perfectly cropped for the best composition - show us some more.

I love the concept - and I think you executed it really well. love how the object is solid and dominates a perceived forground and the sky is transparent. Evocative of the idea that the object is solid/unmoving/dominating. When I see something out and about where an object obstructs/tarnishes a view or landscape, I always mutter, "man vs. nature."

LOVE. love that from a distance you can see what it is but up close its lines and textures.

can't wait to see more!

It's really cool. I definitely like the fine-ness of the lines and the open spaces. It's really pretty and elegant, especially considering how utilitarian those poles and wires are.

Oh, thanks Fiona. I spent a lot of time shuffling that stupid power line back and forth across the space! I'm happy it's in a good place now :) Oh, and I got my next round of photos so I'll have another one hopefully by the end of the weekend!

Jan: Yes, that's exactly it with the solid object!! Taking that part of the image away actually creates a foreground and, as you're saying, a sense of it dominating and interrupting. I'm so glad that comes through! Though, I suppose if it didn't I would pretty much be failing entirely, since that's the heart of my concept. Man interrupting the landscape.

Suann - I'm really liking it now that I hung it up. It's still hanging! I don't want to take it down. That's the whole advantage to printing these out on fabric, the added texture. Thank you thank you!!

Rebecca - Thank you! I'm trying to only include objects that have that feeling. Even though they're interrupting, they are elegant in their own right. Even though my concept is about the negative aspects of them, I don't want to use heavy, ugly objects!

Thank you Erin!! My house isn't that gorgeous right now... So many messes from school projects and life... Oh well, X-mas break will come soon and I will sort it all out!

I love this series, Brittany, and I love the sheerness. I've had a crazy November/end of October, but I'm hoping to see more of your work here.

I think this will be really interesting as you keep developing it!
