Some tea?

I love smelling tea. Really love it. More than I love drinking. Which I do. It's just the smell. There's a tea shop in Plymouth and I like to go in there and just smell. Of course, I only go in when I can buy something.

That is the project I've been working on. Smelling and textiles together. Sachets!

Hooray!

I've been working on a couple blends. The first is for relaxing. Lavender, vanilla and Earl Grey tea. It smells sooooo good. I just got the best fair trade Earl Grey today. It's amazing. And I got amazing vanilla and lavender teas! I didn't tell her I was using it for sachets. I think she would be sad. Should I be sad? Is that bad to put tea in a sachet? I just love how it smells and figure I can't be the only one. Does it make you sad to think of tea in a sachet? Just wondering...

I'm working on a chai blend. None of her chais were quite perfect, so I'll have to do some serious experimenting. Thank you Whole Foods for the loose spices! Once I have them all figured out, I'll order online so it's cheaper, but right now bulk is fine. The chai will be a morning awake sachet. Mmmmm. Keep it next to your bed (separated from the relax sachet, which will also be next to your bed (is this subliminal messaging? I have a parenthase inside another...)) so you can grab it in the morning when your alarm goes off.

Also, there is a refresh blend in the works. Not quite in the works as I have none of the ingredients, but in the works in my head. Grapefruit, eucalyptus and something unknown. Maybe sage? Or... I don't know. Something unexpected. It will be refreshing. For when you feel... unmotivated and lazy. I hope I'm not the only one who feels that way from time to time!

I'm basing the sachets themselves on the piece that I did for my Silkscreen class last semester about farming and seasons. Remember the rows? I'm pretty excited about them. Some of them will be dyed like those, with no printing. Some will have my prints on them, like Echinacea and Queen Anne's Lace.

Tomorrow, I'll take a picture with the boy's webcam.

Sad? No, it sounds delicious in a non-eating kind of way. Hey, people wear perfume that smells like cake! You are so creative.

I feel unmotivated and lazy today! But I got very inspired by your posts, so I'm going to finish a pillow I started before Christmas hit us all in the head. Thanks! -Hope the new medicine helps you!

I'm glad you guys are sounding positive!

Carlene - You're right about the cake! She did have a cake tea and I thought it was so weird! It smelled ok, just really sweet. Thanks for the reassurance!

Trudi - I can't believe YOU got inspired by my posts! I hope you show your pillow! I've been wanting to make some, but my couch is so ugly... maybe I will!
